mini-hiatus.
the condo that my family is staying in doesn’t have wifi, so i won’t be around this week unless i pop in on my phone once in a while. see you all on saturday, and pray that all this time spent with my parents does not drive me to lunacy.

Kind of obsessed with this subversive ‘I’m not a fucking victim’ theme throughout the whole album that culminates in ‘Lolita’. Someone make me listen to something else.
The oddest criticism I’ve heard of Lana Del Rey so far is that her singing voice is emotionless. I just don’t get that at all? Like, the monotone-esque tone on ‘Video Games’ is obviously a distinct choice to inject this deeper, discontented theme into the song.
